A launching pad.
Through the years, I’ve gone through a lot of material that has helped me on my journey, ranging from music, to books, to social media posts, to interviews, youtube videos and on and on. I believe that growing as an artist, and more-so a person, requires a kind of all round approach. I do not think that you can improve as an artist without in some way becoming a better individual, and if there is a way, I don’t think it’s worth it.
We are all here to make, in some way or another, life better for other people. Reading and studying widely, without prejudice, has helped me a lot and I hope it will for you as well. Here’s a list I’ll be updating of things over the years that made a great impact on me, and I hope that they, even in some small way, nudge you in your right direction.
Blessings,
Anthony.

Note: other skills I’m building on are: Business Studies, Economics, Artist and art management. Will add to list when I have relevant info.
Also: this list is very in-exhaustive and is meant to be a small launching pad. Experience by doing is the best way to get experience in any craft. You learn to do by doing. And doing the best way you can, as many times as possible.
Simple, but very powerful.
One more thing: I remember what it was like to be young, Nigerian and not having any opportunity or access to even get the tools or materials I needed, it took me a long time to build up. But I’m older now so it would be irresponsible to inform you of websites like Lib/g/en/.i/s or 13/3/7x where you can find a lot of these things for free.
Irresponsible, I say!
